Overview

Following the successful delivery of the Canadian Technology Accelerator Mentoring Programme, the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada once again turned to Trustek to curate and deliver a high-impact event: “Driving Innovation in Commercial Real Estate: Lessons Learned from Canada & the UK.”

This exclusive, invitation-only event aimed to strengthen cross-border collaboration between Canadian and UK PropTech and real estate professionals, fostering partnerships and knowledge exchange across both markets.

Event Objectives

  1. Facilitate dialogue between PropTech innovators and real estate decision-makers from both countries.
  1. Highlight key insights, trends, and lessons learned in digital transformation and innovation within the built environment.
  1. Provide a platform for Canadian CTA cohort companies to showcase their solutions to the UK market.

Event Highlights

Breakfast Networking:
Opened the day with curated introductions between senior UK and Canadian PropTech leaders, investors, and real estate owners.

Panel Discussion:
Featured an expert-led dialogue on innovation in real estate, data-driven decision-making, and the evolving PropTech landscape in both regions.

Closed-Door Round Table Pitch Session:
Offered a unique platform for the Q1 2025 CTA cohort to pitch their technologies directly to UK-based developers and investors, generating genuine partnership opportunities.

Outcome

The event received outstanding feedback from attendees and the Department alike.

  1. Described as “engaging, insightful, and highly productive.”
  1. Sparked multiple cross-border collaborations and commercial discussions.
  1. Cemented Trustek’s reputation as a trusted connector between technology and real estate sectors internationally.

Conclusion

This event demonstrated how Trustek’s strategic, relationship-driven approach can extend beyond mentoring to foster international collaboration and innovation in PropTech. By connecting ecosystems and facilitating meaningful dialogue, we continue to play a central role in shaping the future of real estate technology across borders.
